Markets Will Be Markets

My diary of going from absolute zero fitness to half ironman. The trials and tribulations of my training up to my first race in 2009 and then post race my continuing battle to remain fit. If you find you're always thinking about getting fit but never quite starting and you could be inspired by seeing that anyone can do it . Then I think you'll find that inspiration here.
Managed about 12k in just over an hour yesterday but have also managed to do something to my ("bad") knee in the process. Piercing pain directly under kneecap :-( Didn't fall or twist it so can only imagine its through doing too much too quickly recently. The cold snap hasn't helped either. On a cocktail of Ibuprofen and Glucosamine this week with some rest to see if that helps. Got the Langbank 10k on Saturday morning - organised by our neighbour so this might be the next outing. 10 participants running - after a Burn's supper at his house on Friday night! Not sure if the "trembling earth" will be "resounding my (sic) tread" in this one ;-)
ReplyDeleteStu,
ReplyDeleteBetter to take it easy lest you do some permanent damage. Ski holiday coming up for you soon as well.....A run post Burns supper sounds like an interesting experiment. I'm against animal testing as you know but clearly you boys are determined...
