18K

Up and straight out without any breakfast, having only had one 7K run in the last 3 weeks it was probably not the best idea. After about 8K my strides were getting shorter and shorter. A bit like having a tight elastic round your ankles that eventually you can't overcome the resistance and you end up shuffling along like a long distance walker.

I got to 11K at 1:05 and I was feeling the strain. At 15K my legs were feeling a bit better and I knew I'd get to the end. I finished in 1:48 which is slower than my previous run but no surprise.

I was absolutely whacked at the end and very pleased to be finished. I wasn't really struggling on the cardio side at any time but my legs were absolutely dead. I suspect more down to lack of blood energy as I hadn't eaten.
